I have an assembly that I added some 1/4-20 bolts to. It had the bolt relief on the top plate and the threads on the bottom. I dimensioned the holes from a side of the top component. I then realized that I needed to move that side by .300 and when I did the holes were not aligned anymore. further more, it broke my dimensions that I had previous made.
I ended up having to redo the holes but am curious on why it would do that?

It could be a problem with mates, or external references, or sketches, or...
I guess you're starting to get the idea that we're going to have a hard time helping without more information. A screenshot or two might help, but a Pack and Go of the Assembly would be best. Can you attach it here? See How can I attach a file to a forum post? if you aren't familiar with the process.

Without seeing the files I can only guess, but it sounds like either the hole locations weren't properly linked, or the model needed a rebuild, as Christopher Estelow recommended.
How did you add the holes in? Did you use the "Hole Series" under the assembly features? If so then sometimes you have to rebuild the assembly to update them. If not I would highly recommend that you do use it.
