We have recently acquired a company that uses Solidworks. We are trying to understand how the support model for this product works but we could not find any official contact on the main site, there are no-emails and even twitter does accept DMs. All our e-mails to local distributors / vars etc. went completely unanswered.
So my questions are:
1) is the subscription required in order to use the product or is it necessary only to access support and/or upgrades.
2) can we have a support subscription directly with SolidWorks, no intermediary, no VARs, no resellers. E-mail / web support is enough as long as it is tracked. We don't need phone / live support.
3) if we are required to go through a reseller, can we still open a direct support request to SolidWorks and bypass them completely ?
