Hello all,
I am trying to make this cube that has 4 open ends and 4 mitered ends and is made from mostly hollow tubes that are solid for 0.1" at each end, where the mitered joints are. My question is how do I fill up the hollowed parts of the mitered joints to make those parts solid. This is going to be a 3D printed part so the volume of this space has to be filled.
I can make this without using weldments, but this is good practice for me. Also all I need explained is this part. I attached the custom weldment template as well.
I used basic extrusions in the shape of the round square to fill up the interior of all three tubes that meet at that joint and although it worked it still left patches of spaces, which I tried to fill using "Fill Surface" and "Boundary Surface" but the first was useless, while the second only applied a surface. The problem is I need a solid instead of a surface and Boundary Extrude was no help.
Any better ideas?
