I have been given a bunch of models, assemblies and parts. The problem is that the parts are made by using "save bodies", and some of the parts are still one solid, useless for us as production underlay. So what are the options, one we edit all "in context", which I find rather complexed. Two I use new commands and functions on a part that are saved as a body from one solid, but this doesn`t look very professional in our tree line over there. Last resort, and what I prefer is building the part from scratch as stand alone and make a whole new assembly, and make suitable step and sheet metal cut files for our production.
We have been given free hands to do what we prefer to do, but what is the easiest, smart way to do things when given parts made out from a solid, but still needs a lot of editing before the final design is landed?
