I am trying to arrange a task to automatically generate a PDF of the Solidworks drawing file during the transition to our Production Release state.
My problem is that the PDM Admin Tool crashes when I try to open the Convert task to configure it.
Anyone else having this problem, and know of a reason why or how to fix it?
In additional let's check if your SWTaskAddIn is up to date. If it's not, you can up to date it via opening "Convert_gb.cex" file and drag and drop addin.

One of our customers had this very same issue. You could be seeing the effects of SPR 1099436. You don't happen to have PDM 2018 SP 0 to 4, do you? If so, we were able to resolve this issue for our customer by having them upgrade their PDM to 2018 SP5 and update the SwTaskAddin too. I advice reaching out to your reseller regarding this SPR and if you have PDM 2018 0 thru 4, consider making the administrative decision to upgrade.

Hi,
Try on other computer and/or under other user. Possibly, problem is local.
If configuration of task server is turn on (in tray), then try to add TaskExecutor.exe and ConisioAdmin.exe to exceptions of the antivirus and configure their start with the rights of the administrator.
Also add to exceptions Explorer.exe and check settings of ports.
