I am trying to mate a threaded rod (a model that was downloaded from a vendor's website) in an assembly. I am having difficulty with making it concentric to the hole, the depth of the rod into the hole can be fudged (that will be good enough for this purpose.
Any thoughts?
Chris Scougall - Go to View/ShowHide/Temporary Axis then mate the temp axis and the inside face of the hole concentric..
pictures.....threaded rod? should have been easy to model one yourself. O.D. length add a chamfer to the ends. if you model has threads cant imagine the hit your taking on performance.
I thought about modeling it myself, but for some reason I decided to download a model. not sure why, it was a few months ago.

All HW when threads are modeled have an axis to use for this purpose.
