I have a sub assembly in an assembly.
Now in this sub assembly i have some HW features ,and i'd like to make these HW features linear pattern in assembly and i can't .
Is that possible to do or not

Use assembly feature linear pattern but you need to do this in sub assembly edit mode or open sub assy first and then do pattern.

I put the sub assembly in edit mode and i tried to make the linear pattern but i have an error .

Please clarify the problem and solution.
The error created because i used the sub assembly in edit assembly mode
and i solved the problem using the open sub assembly mode so the problem solved

The linear pattern works for me in both cases i.e. editing the sub assy in parent assembly mode OR opening the sub assy and then adding the linear pattern.
Is it external reference error?
Is this checked?
You can do a linear pattern of a sub-assembly in an assembly.
You can do a linear pattern of a component in an assembly.
You cannot do a linear pattern of a sub-assembly's component in an assembly ... without doing it to the sub-assembly itself.
