Installed resently SW2018 (SP5.0) + SolidworksPDM.
Selecting "Select in Windows Explorer" + clicking "History" has been a handy way of viewing different versions of drawings in vault.
It stopped working after update and saving drawings in SW2018 format. Looks like eDrawings 2016 has been set as default viewer.
eDrawings 2018 has been installed but how can I update it to default viewer?

the reason most likely in old records in Registry Windows.
Give search in Registry and delete all old records.
Besides it is necessary to delete all old places in Progran Files, Program Files(86), Common Files, Program Data, Users AppData, etc.
After that it is necessary to install EDrawing again.
Before to do all this - surely make a point of rollback of Windows.
Records in Registry can be much, but it is better not to use automatic cleaning - it is necessary to delete the whole branches of Registry - automatic cleaning it cannot make.
Here a lot of patience is necessary.
I in such a way solved similar problems (and not once).
But it is possible to eat also other ways.

Found and changed these registry settings and now it works! (no need to reinstall eDrawings)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Solidworks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Vaults\_-Global\Settings]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Solidworks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Vaults\VAULT-NAME\Settings\SW-USER]
In both cases changed path for Value "16" to the right version of eDrawings.
