Is there any settings I can tweek to make solidworks ignore cuts across bend radi. I noticed that when there is a cut through the bend radius solidowrks cuts off the part or just simply will not flatten.

Use the "UNFOLD" (not flatten) command. Put the cut on, and then "FOLD". This is only neccessary for cuts that go across a bend.

Got it. But what do I do with imported parts that I cannot go back and modify? The cuts are already there.

    Run featureworks on the part. Make sure under Feature Type you select Sheet metal features. Once done, convert to sheetmetal. See attached.

      Thanks, but I did try that already and if you notice it still cut off the bottom of the part.see attached pic.

        Ya, when I run feature works it picks up all the holes and stuff except the ones that are through the bends and those are the ones I need it to recognize.
