I was curious if there is anything new out there for
switching between open files within SolidWorks? I have been using
CTRL-TAB, which works but it is cumbersome when you use a mouse and
a spaceball. I've made a request to 3D Connexion to add a
"ctrl-tab" function to their database for SolidWorks so that a
single button on a spaceball would allow effective switching
between windows. For now, I have one button assigned to CTRL, and
another to TAB, and use two fingers to activate those buttons for
switching between documents.
It would be nice if SolidWorks had an 'open windows' bar along the bottom of the screen, sort of like how Windows does with open applications. Hovering over the buttons would show a thumbnail image, etc.
Anyone else have ideas on this, or what is your current method to effectively switch between open documents?
