This forum is great community of passionate, helpful, fun and caring SolidWorks users. It is a microcosm of the SWX community at large as I know many SWX users that have never even looked at the forum, but they share the same traits.
This forum has done a lot to shape SWX. The Top Ten List of ideas to improve SWX has been an annual event at SWWorld for many years and it only resides in this forum. The whole
thread turned into a movement that woke up the development team at SWX to focus more on ”quality” (their term) or “fixing bugs” as we would more generally describe it. Now they annually dedicate more of their development resources to these issues and have even hired PhD’s to help them with the data mining to identify the issues. Thankfully, this effort persists at SWX corporate. This forum also cares about the future and recognizes and supports those people making good things happen.
This forum also cares about each other. I think this is one of the coolest things and one of the greatest things we’ve ever done.
I could not attend SWWorld this year, but I did watch the General Sessions. With all this influence we have with SWX and SWWorld I can’t help but believe I must have missed something. I did not see or hear any reference to Dave Bear and what this forum community did. Please tell me I just missed it.
