Chamfer direction not changing in assemblies?

Question asked by Timothy Sherratt on Feb 14, 2019

I have been having a few problems with adding chamfers to components within assemblies, when dealing with a chamfer on a part at for example 30 degrees you have a 50:50 chance of the dimension being in the correct direction, normally this isn’t an issue as you can click the little pink arrow or use the “Flip direction” checkbox
under “Chamfer Parameters” but every so often that doesn’t have any influence over the direction of the angle that the chamfer cuts into the part. The preview updates just fine but not the actual cut. Is anyone aware of a workaround other than digging out the old trigonometry, reversing the angle and calculating the new length to compensate for the angle flip?
