Am I thinking of one of the other CADD packages I have worked on??? I thought we (SolidWorks pilots) use to be able to change the color of just selected faces of a component when in an assembly. And that color would only be applied when in that assembly. In other words if I made the component face color change when in an assembly and then save the assembly, when I open the actual component, the color change will not be applied at component level.

Is this something that went away or am I thinking of another package?
