I am trying to cut a fillable reservoir, similar to the part on the left, I am trying to achieve this by revolve cutting the sketch on the right and the displayed error message appears. does anyone have any suggestions?
Sketch needs repairing, you have elements crossing over each other and not joining at the points. Also your sketch is not fully constrained so more dimensions / relations are needed.
Your centreline doesn't count towards the complete loop. Convert that to a regular (non-construction) entity, then add another centreline out of the top of the sketch around which you can revolve.
You might have a Double Sketch line somewhere or a small sketch that crosses over the centerline. Can you upload the part??
I have removed the centerline, added an actual line, and redrew the centreline on top, I have also unchecked thin feature and the repair sketch feature found no gaps.
Can you share the part?

To attach files it's better to follow the guidelines in the FAQ.
How can I attach a file to a forum post?
Okay, so this feature has been successfully implemented, I'm almost finished with the part, one last issue is that I am trying to cut out a 'trench' with the sweep cut tool, but am getting rebuild errors.
Here is the file
Separate out the sweep path sketch from Sketch4, it's failing because the path sketch has disjoint entities (the sketches for the corner spheres).
Brilliant, the part is complete, thanks to everyone for their help
Have you tried closing it?
English is not my first language - If you point out my mistakes I'd be very grateful..
Does this need to be checked?
If you sort the areas Dave Laban mentions above the revolve cut will work OK.
