Is it possible to have the EPDM to write variables from the datacard on solidworks drawings,
and on to the custom properties in the dxf file. during file export.
After file convertion i can see variables on the file, in the EPDM browser.
But its not written on to the files "Custom Properties" when i open it in Draftsigh.

If I initiate a task, and save the file internally in the PDM vault, the variables appears in different column in the view.
But if i Open the DXF in Draftsight, there is no Custom properties present in the file.

Tasks have a copy variables window during configuration.
You mst remember to put variables on dxf card and make sure variables are mapped to a def file type.
is this the variables what you mean?
This is correct but this function here only copies the properties in the database. They are not pushed to file until it is opened and saved while within vault. I can see by the name of the window that you are saving the file outside the vault location which is why you may be running into this. Also, make sure these variables are on the ‘Other‘ datacard you have associated to dxf file type.
i would suggest you change the task to save the file in the vault for testing purposes. If that works, we can help you find further solutions downstream like automating the rebuild and check in and copying it outside the vault once the file has the properties you need.
Hi, I`v tried to change the output path to Both inside and outside PDM. But the result is the same.
But when i sett the output internaly, i can se the variables are written to the file in the PDM, but in the custom properties in the file when opened in draftsigt there are nothing.
If information is on the card but not file, I would look at variable mapping. DWG/DXF are more challenging since they can use multiple or custom 'attributes' (aka title blocks).

It sounds like you have assigned the source and target variables in the convert task, but that's another area where something could be amiss.
