I'm working on a pole for a trailer and I'm having a weird problem I never encountered. There's a ''Shiny galvanized'' appearance that gets applied to some bodies and a bunch of faces for no reason. No matter what I do so far, the appearance comes back. I think I might have bugged the program when I tried to turn one of the bodies transparent, the body didn't turn transparent so I did it directly from the weldment list and then it turned transparent but the problem started happening.

I've tried deleting every face one by one, every body, singling out faces and bodies to try and find what was the cause but to no avail. I've tried setting a different material to change appearance, also tried setting an appearance manually. Anyone has any idea?

If I delete the appearances, it turns grey, as it should

But then a simple rebuild brings all the appearances back, CTRL+Q has the same effect
