I have the Student Design edition, which should have all the features of the standard edition.
All of the rendering functions are "greyed out" and 360 PhotoView does not appear in my add-ins list.
Any idea how to activate these?
When we installed 2018 here, we the rendering program files were not turned on in the default install. We just had to repair our install to install it, and there was a separate key to enter. That may be what you are seeing.
Carrie, where did you get the separate key?
I did get two serial numbers, one for CAD and one for CAM. Is CAM the one I need? Is this a separate download, or just a reinstall with the different serial number?
Anthony Lathrop We called in to our VAR and they got the key for us. It wasn't my computer, but my coworker that had the problem. I'm not sure exactly how that worked. I'm sorry I don't know more that might help.
Do you have the 2018 or 2019? Looks like that it should have the Visualize components.
I have the 2019.
As I replied to Carrie, I installed Solidworks and used the CAD serial number.
I didn't install anything with the CAM serial number... maybe that's my problem?
Student Design Kit is not the same as Student Edition!
Do you've got the license from your university or have you bought your license? Only in the 2nd case you'll get the full package!
The other one is a plain "vanilla" SOLIDWORKS.
