Since we stated to 3D print a lot of tooling parts I tried to get everyone to put the part number on every part they print, where that is reasonable. Costs nothing and saves a lot of confusion.

I recently made a library feature that is an extrusion of text linked to part number and revision fields. Simple to create, but I've attached it here. Just drag and drop it from you library onto the face of your part.
