A Colleague recently used Solidworks Task Scheduler to create a number of STL files.
When the 3D printed parts arrived, the first couple were OK, but the remainder were unusable.
It turns out that the first couple of parts had been exported using the 'Custom' resolution settings, which had been adjusted to match the recommendations of the supplier, whilst the remainder had been exported using the 'Coarse' resolution settings.
Is this normal?
Is there a way to adjust the 'Coarse' resolution settings to match the 'Custom' ones, so that the same will not happen again?
What should I advise him to do in the future?
SW2018, SP5
Windows 10 Pro
Thanks,
John
If there are not too many parts (>hundreds), Save-As one by one in SW.
Sometime the time saved doesn't pay for the mistake.
You can't check STL and see if its 'fine' or 'coarse.
Looks like STL Export in Task Scheduler doesn't has 'Custom' option in SW2019 SP1.
