I have an assembly that uses a part that is built using equations to define many key dimensions. I need to create a linear pattern assembly of these parts and the spacing in the linear pattern should be equal to one of the global variables defined in the part. I see the global variable listed under the FeatureManager Design Tree / Part / Equations (on left below). However, when I access the Equations dialog for the assembly (on right below), no variables are defined nor can I find a way to define any that relate to these part variables. I feel there must be a way to use this part/component global variable within the assembly w/o having to use an external text file. Any suggestions? Using SW 2018 SP4.0.
