I tried to render this morning and none of the 306 buttons respond except for options. I have deleted the CFG file but this has made no difference.
What else can I try?
Wow, PhotoView 360 is still going in 3013 !!
Have you gone into Installation Manager and tried the repair option?
A fresh installation may help provided to first do a complete uninstall first.
Failing that a VAR should be able to help.
Well spotted. 2013 was what I really meant.
Thanks for your answer. I'll try the Installation Manager repair option. What is a VAR?
..sounds like you did the right thing with deleting the cfg file... and now trying the repair... if that does not work.. maybe doing a reset?
Resetting the SOLIDWORKS registry
Hi Michael ,
VAR - Value Added Reseller
..yeah, I wanna know too,.. is 3013 faster!?
Ok, I have tried the repair and the regedit and although more happens when you try and render it still isn't rendering. Very frustrating. It appears to be trying to do something but nothing happens. It is almost as if it is rendering but the render is not visible. I might have to talk to the supplier but as we are still on 2013 you can guess that we don't have a service subscription.
Thank you for all your suggestions.
How is your video card? Could it be the culprit? Perhaps swap a card from another computer to test that theory.
Can you believe it? I was trawling through lots of old threads about this problem and came across an issue with Bonjour. Apparently, 360 needs it. I installed iTunes which has Bonjour as part of the package and lo and behold 360 is now working. Very frustrating as I really don't like iTunes but at least it is all working now.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
Usually SW install Bonjour.
You don't need iTune.
If you still have SW installation (in Document\Solidworks Download), You could find Bonjour install in PreReqs.
Or latest version from Apple: Apple - Support - Downloads
Thank you, I have found the Bonjour installer. I'll run it again and then get rid of iTunes.
