In the attribute USER DATA 1, can we only put text or can we link other tag?
I'm trying to show where the symbol is represented in the schematic, on the 2D layout. This way the technician, who is assembling the panel from the panel layout, could locate the symbol quickly in the schematic.

On the 2D layout first. I haven't figure exactly what I will need out of the reports but it could be needed as well.
Stephan, is using the Cross Reference attribute on the 2D layout an option? That would list where symbols associated with that footprint are drawn automatically for you.
I need to look into it. I'm not familiar with the Cross Reference. From what I understand it is used to link 2 symbols for a commun part. For exemple an Illuminated push button. There would be a cross reference linking the contact on one page and the lamp on another page. The more I think about it the more I believe you are right.

What i usually do is create connection labels ( see help file under 'insert connection label') for all the components that i use and insert them at the end of the project.
You can add as much data as you need, and each circuit in a component spread in different pages can be found easily with the data (in orange) which tells you the page No. and the x,y position. You can find examples on you tube.
