I want to split this block to mold the part. But surface does not split the block. How to fix it?
It's probably because of the through holes and slots. You need to create shut off surfaces that split the cavity from the core inside the holes and slots. When the SW mold tools do this, they collect all the parting surfaces into one body, then all the +draft model faces into another surface body, and all the - draft model faces into another body, and then they have you create shut off surfaces. A shut off surface would be a planar, circular surface at the bottom of one of those mounting holes. When you split the mold block, you have to split it with a single surface, so you have to knit surface bodies together to do that. Then you have a single surface body that splits the + from the - side of the mold.
Here is an example of the cavity side of the part knit into a single surface body, with the green slot shut offs and yellow mounting hole shut offs.

All holes are closed by using geometry but split body popups error message. What is the reason?
I couldn't open your file in SW (I don't have 2019), but I opened in different program and shows 2 solids and 2 surfaces
Instead All bodies in the target, choose selected bodies and select only the square block
Why can't you try mold tools to split into core and cavity inserts, just curious?
For some parts mold tools will work, for some other it will not work. I do not have experience to decide which one is suitable for a particular part.
Mold tools supposed to work on all molded parts (there may extreme exceptional cases)
This part is not that complicated to work with mold tools, if you follow the steps correctly (sometimes you may work with surface tools combined to get the final split surface)
Solidworks "broke" the Tooling Split tool/command. It now fails on things that have nothing wrong with them. Mold Design is a very small percentage of Solidworks users, and the vast majority learned long ago that the "Solidworks way" of splitting a part is something to be avoided. (The Parting Surfaces tool/command is complete junk.) As a result, the majority of the Mold Designers neither know nor care that the Tooling Split tool/command is broken...we don't use it. However, students have discovered the issue, since they are trying to do mold design the "right" way according to Solidworks.
Totally agree Doug. Like a fool I had a simple mold tool split last week and I thought surely the software wouldn't let me down. Yet again I was hit by a bug - it split fine but was useless unless you wanted to redefine planes and edges for the rest of your life on rebuilds when adding holes etc.
As you say, I can send these problems in but as it's a small percentage of users how far up the order of fixing is another story. Even with it classed as 'critical' on the spr.
You have to knit all the surfaces together to split. You can't split with a surface that doesn't include the shutoffs. Knit the parting surface to the + or - surfaces and the shutoff surfaces. Then split.
