When i open some parts in composer im getting black lines on parts not all parts but some of them.
looks fine in solidworks but when i import it to composer it shows like this ?
Its only showing when i have a render mode on that shows outlines.
This is a known issue that I have encountered before and it's already logged as an SPR
"SPR 770865 - 'Extra edges are seen near the holes for this assembly in SVG created from Technical Illustration workshop'."
There's a couple of things that you can do to reduce/eliminate these aretfacts. The first thing is to change the Geometry Compression setting to Low (see below). In the instance that I encountered this behaviour this setting eliminated all but one of the lines and Adobe Illustrator was used to erase it. Another workaround is to convert the body to a .stp file and import into Composer. Can't really explain why that one seems to work but it does!
did you use any Outline Style? If not Composer uses "construction edges" as Standard.
Try to change it to "Smart Outlines"
have tried it to still the same :/
Which Output did you use? Is it the same if you create SVG (technical Illustration workshop) or JPG (high Resolution Image Workshop)?
Is there any geometry under the front part?
there is no geometry under the part.yes same in both svg's and jpg pics :/ have tried alot of diffrent import options also.
ok one more idea:
try to Import this geometry once more. Use "Refinement" with high quality.
Is it than the same behaviour?
the higher I try, the more black lines I get. if i put it at the lowest im only getting one black line,
This behaviour depends on tessalation of the modell by creating Composer Content (smg)
i recommend an Service request for this.
Workaround: use an polyline above the surface.
1. align camera to surface
2. create a polyline
3. Close it and fill it White
4. Change the frontline to White
ist not the best way (best way = there is no line/edge), but it may help
saved my assembly as a .stp and that did solve it !
Thank you !
What an Elite response!
Wow thanks, that actually worked converting it to .stp file.
