I am currently in the meshing process for my simulation study and I have run into this error a few times, mostly whenever I use anything besides the standard mesh type.
Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?
Essentially, this is a crash of one of several processes involved in mesh creation. The typical workaround is to try a different mesher (don't forget about the Blended Curvature-Based [BCB] mesher in addition to the Standard Mesher).
Identifying the file-specific factors involved in the crash requires some troubleshooting. Checking for faulty geometry, running Import Diagnostics (if there is any imported geometry), suppressing mesh controls, and selectively splitting/excluding certain bodies are all examples of troubleshooting for cases like this. It is best to contact your SOLIDWORKS Value Added Reseller (VAR) to make sure this mesh process crash gets reported to R&D and can get fixed in a future release. To get the most efficient help possible, please send your VAR a SOLIDWORKS Rx Problem Capture with video that shows the behavior as well as your model files.
