After setting, computational domain, mesh, Goals, etc and save them I run the part that is open. Then I want to open another part and run it with the same settings
Under the Projects Tree, you can right click on the simulation you want to clone, and then click clone, and then choose which configuration you want to clone the simulation to.
I did exactly that and clone a new project with the same configuration but this new project includes the same data file so I opened a new data file and with that I had to create a new project. When I tried to do that I had select a configuration for this new project and the options were only New or Current which is the default not the configuration I just created. What am I missing?
The only reason to clone I can think of is to make setting changes but run the same data file and if they did not work you can just select the previous project.
You are in the Flow domain - therefore you are cloning the Flow settings.
Changing the model / CAD is changing the input going into Flow.
Make initial model with all the CAD configurations.
Set up Flow simulation.
Use Pack and to save each configuration include simulation under new names.
In Flow you will have to re-pick surfaces / volumes for power, flow.....
This is not parametric but works.
