Hello, this is my first post so I'm not quite sure how this works. I'm a college student going for my BS in Industrial Design and trying to improve my Solidworks skills on my own. I was working through the internal Solidworks tutorials, following Lesson 1 - Parts, but when I got towards the end, it wanted me to edit some of the dimensions, namely the fillets, and it created an error with my previously built shell of the part. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this same issue and figured out a solution. I'm pretty inexperienced with Solidworks and have no idea what is going wrong or how to fix it, except that I think the fillets are the problem. I've attached a screen shot of the instructions from the lesson. The original configuration for the shape was 5mm fillets around all the front edges and corners of the "box" shape. I followed the directions exactly and got a rebuild error when I moved the rollback bar below the Shell feature. I also had issues with getting it to "redo" the face fillets on the four edges of the main face at 5mm. Initially it wouldn't do the 5mm fillets on the front face in manual mode, after I updated the corner edge fillets to 10mm, but I was able to get it to work in the FilletExpert mode. I tried deleting the different fillets and redoing them in different orders, but it doesn't seem to matter, the program still seems to struggle with doing the different sized, intersecting fillets and it creates an error with the shell operation every time. I'm annoyed that I'm following Solidworks' own tutorial and having issues, it seems like these instructions may have been built around earlier software versions and not updated properly, but this is still (hopefully) a learning opportunity. Any advice is appreciated.
