How do you make a one way cut? I would like to plunge the bit into one end of a cut, make a straight cut, then lift the bit up at the other end. In every operation I attempt, the cut wants to start in the middle or start at one end and come back to the starting point.

This is the method I currently use.
I make a sketch of the tool path for the center of the cutter, then I use the profile operation. For geometry choose the sketched line and select the check mark to make it a chain. If you need to reverse direction press F5.
In the Technology tab make sure the tool side is set to center.
In the Link tab change the lead in and out to either Normal or None.

I thought this would be a simple problem to solve, but unfortunately no one has solved it. I guess it is more difficult than it seems. I assumed I had missed a simple solution, but the only way I can see to solve it at the moment is to remove part of the code so that it will not return to the starting point. If anyone at all knows another, simpler solution, please let me know.
