I have a part inserted into an assembly a three times, it is just a simple tie wrap. It has different configurations for its diameter. In the configuration properties for each configuration, under "bill of materials options", I have it set to use "user specified name" for its part number. Each configuration uses the same name.

That being said, this part should only have one row in the BOM with a quantity of 3. Instead there is one row with a quantity of 2 and another row with a quantity of 1, both rows show the same part number.

What is going on here? why can't SW get this right???
