We work in a SW PDM Pro vault. My guys are having problems where the File locations settings which should be pointing to the vault are changing back to the local drive and then they lose work done. Any one having this problem? And if so, how did you fix it?
Check that they haven't permanently dismissed a Warning/Error message in System Options:
Usually when SW makes changes to the file locations, a warning is given. I don't recall if the warning includes the 'Do not show this message again' checkbox, but if it does, you users may have dismissed it and the real problem is being hidden from you.
Ok. I'll check that. I've seen those messages come up but it doesn't give you a lot of time to make a decision. Do you know if there is a way to keep the message on the screen longer??

See the setting "Dismiss reference/update dialog boxes when opening assemblies after n seconds" that is in the same dialog Jim shows (but he cropped it so it is not visible). Here is the help topic on it:

Thanks. I just found it before I received your reply. I've also let them know they need to heed the warnings to fix the reference.
