i Need your Help to make a macro to creat 2 or 3 planes at one Time.
I would suggest you to use the search function on the forums and atleast post what code you have made until now.
Or do you expect someone to make it for you?
This post was made last year, maybe it can help you on the right path.
creating a sketch on a new plane
thanks for your replay, but i did not find a macro can make more than plan at one click. i am beginner with API.
It might help to clarify what you need. A plane is based on another object, if you want to create three planes offset from the front plane at set distances, that would help... or one plane based off each top, front, and right with 20mm offset. It's just not specific enough. You can cycle through the feature tree and select a plane or object and try to create planes based off the selction.
I have a macro to model a building from the values in a Excel spreadsheet.
Each floor is extruded down from its own plane.
And I just something like "For i=1 to nFloors"... And created the planes.
Couldn't you use something like that?
Perhaps if you explain better what you wish your macro do, I could help further
Does this not work for you? Or do you need to implement it on a macro?
it dosent help when you have a different dimenstions between the planes. for example 20, 25, 32,...
In that case you have to enter dimensions one by one anyway,,,
As an alternative to planes, you could extrude a surface. Surfaces are a decent substitute for planes, and are more flexible in their creation.
