I'm working with a large assembly and after I rebuild the entire assembly turns red. Rebuilding again does not revert the colors back to normal. Closing out of SW and reopening shows the assembly with the proper coloring, but as soon as I rebuild again everything turns red. Any thoughts? 
Clicking the screen does not change. Also, clicking top level in tree then somewhere else it does not change. By all accounts everything operates normal with the exception of it's all red.
I'm pretty sure it's not from a graphics card error. I am using a supported quadro card with updated driver.
I've had this happen to me a few times. I changed the appearance color of a block to green, then clicked to rebuild, and everything turned green. I tried changing it back, removing all appearance changes, and only after restarting Solidworks did it fix itself. However, like you said before, after I clicked rebuild, everything changed to green all over again. This only happened to one file I was working on. I've noticed that as long as I save my progress, it doesn't change colors, but once I rebuild it, green takes over again.
I'm not sure what kind of bug it is, but I think it is related to changing the color appearances manually that triggers it. Haven't had a chance to test it further, but that's my guess. Has it happened to any other projects you're working on?
What you're describing is exactly what's happening to me as well. I haven't had this happen on any other file or assembly before.

What does your appearances tab look like?
Is the red listed there?

There is no red appearance applied to any parts, the red seems completely independent of any appearance settings.
If you cannot get rid of it, right click one of the components and go to the 'appearances' ball and 'remove all component appearances'. This is drastic but it might get it back to the original colors.

I appreciate all the replies and help. Here's an update: I took Steve's advice and cleared all the appearances. In addition, based off some comments on another thread I went in and repaired all imported part geometry that was showing an error. After saving and restarting SW, I have not seen this occur again.
I'll update if it shows up again.

If you click on the screen does that change? If you click the assembly top level in the tree and then click somewhere else does it change?
