Alex Lachance Dec 3, 2018 2:24 PM (in response to Steven Mills)They aren't in read-only, IMO, your SolidWorks is set-up so that they are in read-only when you open the assembly, don't remember where the setting is exactly tough right now.
It could also be ''Large assembly mode'' or ''Large Design Review''

Alex Lachance Dec 3, 2018 3:09 PM (in response to Steven Mills)Those settings are for envelopes Steven, there is another one, I don't remember where, which puts the top assembly in ''Write access'' and the rest under the top assembly in ''Read access''
