I can't seem to make the swept base work on the attached file, I tried to see how I can change the radius of the arcs, but couldn't do it (not knowing how to).
you have to reduce the diameter in Sketch2 (as mentioned before) or you have to change the radii in the 3DSketch1.
Both can be done by simply add a / some Smart Dimensions.
After that you will be able to create your Swept Boss. At first you select your Profile (Sketch2) than your Path (3DSketch1).
At wich point do you stuck?
Maximum value for sweep is 18 mm.
I believe I fixed the gap.
Problem is I don't see what you posted on the first answer, this is what I see:
How do I get the circular profile, and max value field?
Mine,.. as Maha Nadarasa shows,.. the only way for this to work is for your R18 (36 dia) profile to be less than your R9 fillets (that is, profile = R8.99... or another way is for your fillets to be = 18.01).
When trying to open your attached file I get error, unable to open file.
Because of type of bends there is a limitation for the circular profile diameter. 1st put 20 mm then reduce it until it works, it is a trail and error procedure.
Sorry, I meant to say my interface is different than what you have posted, and don't know how to select circular profile instead of sketch profile.
If you check mark circular profile, you do not need to sketch a profile. Just decide and input a diameter and select the path.
Maha,.. they have 2014.. (I believe circular profile was only available in 2016 and later?)
I thought Maha was referencing a more recent version, indeed I am using 2014, and no circular path.
You need to change internal radii to R:18
The reason is you can't use radii internal lower that Ø36/2 (dia of your round bar)
Thank you all. Still learning.
Really in difficulty to pick the answer, as basically all have given the right one, and it was me who had problem in understanding.
Apologies to Maha and Ruben, hope to make it up in the future
