I tried running the installer as an admin as that has helped with other install issues in the past, but no luck this time. Anything else I should try?
No, removing other SW installs is not an option.
You should give some more information. What is the OS? Is there enough space on your install drive? Can you provide the install logs?
Win10 Pro x64, approx 980GB free. Which log(s) are the useful ones?
OK, 980GB free space should be fairly enough for SOLIDWORKS :-)
You'll find your installation logs in "%appdata%\SOLIDWORKS\Installation Logs\2019 SP0"
Got it working. I had to use the installer which ended up in my SW Downloads folder rather than the one which was downloaded from the SW user portal.
