Hi all.
So I've been playing around with the wing design for my RC and I'm now faced with this issue. If you looked at this picture, the wing and the wingtip are not intersecting perfectly. Is there anything in the set up that I need to be aware of to make it the intersection complete without gap?
When I tried to generate the loft for the wingtip, if I choose one of the guideline for the wingtip loft, the wingtip got generated but it looks weird. However when I used both of the front and the back guideline, the wingtip is giving me a self-intersecting geometry error and for the life of me, I just couldn't figure it out.
I had tried to use the regular loft with thin and surface loft and added the offset surface to generate the thin and they both just don't blend in nicely.. Can you help with a suggestion on how I should fix this? Many thanks again.
Hello.
I will not make comments to the wing geometry because i'm not an expert in aerodynamics but i think that there is something wrong.
You could do the loft operation in one, but i would do two small changes. First edit the "Right Rear Wingtip Guide Line" sketch and draw a spline with tangent relation to "Right Rear Wing Guide Line". Second, replace the "Right Front Wingtip Guide Line" sketch with 3D sketch and add spline with tangent relation to "Right Front Wing Guide Line".
Then you can use loft operation using sections and guide lines. This will give you smooth transition between wing and wingtip.
