I'm trying to create Automatic Transition based on conditions. In order to do that I want to compare 2 variables. But I don't know how to add enter variable in "Value " Field.
Is it possible to do that?
I have never try cancelling an automatic transition. Worth a try.
Otherwise you can make and ugly new variable call "Are those 2 variables are equals ?" update this via dispatch and check it in your automatic transition.
Hi, I don't known if you can do this in a transition (I'll be happy to see if we can!)
But I think you can do this with a Dispatch something like this :
- Activation before a transition.
- Setup tow Dispatch variable linked to the pdm datacard variables
- Make a jump with and "if V1 = V2 goto label "End"" and cancel before the jump
that should do it.
Yes. But I want to change the state automatically based on this condition.
Using Dispatch is not possible to change the state right?
But its possible to cancel the PDM action.
Does this work with an automatic transition? (I don't have time right now to test this)
Maybe you have to build an additional status in between.
I don't want to cancel. I want to change the states.
Seems like gonna work.
I will try this and let you know.
Is it possible to compare 2 card variables and get answer for 3rd variable in Data card itself?
like if A = B then C= Yes else C= No.
Is it possible to do ?
Hi, by experience I will avoid to do that way.
Automatic update, concatenation or equation could act funny some times, when you automatically update a variable the equation field will not update.
As always you can try it on your test vault.
But is it possible to do?
I think the easiest way to solve the task is to write a little addin for pdm.
