I am investigating why duplicate files are apparently being made by Enovia when people are working on an assembly. Quote "When assemblies are loaded, duplicate local copies of the same parts and assemblies are made." And then when they check in these the assembly later, they have to manually choose which duplicate to keep. Has anyone had this problem and know what could cause it?
Ok, apparently there are two main causes. 1. The models have exterior file references that Enovia tries opening twice, then the user later saves the 'new' location of the duplicate to the network. 2. Sometimes it's just a lack of server bandwidth, lost packets causing communications issues between users and Enovia servers.
