I did an assembly a couple of weeks ago, where I now could reuse some of the parts in a new assembly.
But why can I not add them?
Okay, if you open your part only called "lineal", expand 'solid bodies' in the Feature Tree and then right click on 'Move Face1'.
Now select 'Insert into New Part' and select the template you would usually use.
In the new screen in the box just under file name, browse to the folder you want to put this part and call it 'New Lineal'.
Click the green check mark. If it doesn't open automatically for you, open the newly created part and also ensure that any other SW file is closed.
At the very top of the Feature Tree, right click on the feature 'New Lineal' and select external references. Now click on 'Break All'.
A new window may appear, just click okay.
Then click close for the previous window and save the part.
You now have a part that is totally independent and will work in either assembly. The reason it wouldn't work before was because of it's references and derived features. This new part can still be modified, however you'll notice that it no longer has the previous features listed.
I hope this helps,
Any possibility you can add all of the original parts and assembly to the thread here? Might as well add your new assembly too, just in case.
Try these :-)
I have problems adding the part 'Lineal' in the new assembly.
'Lineal' is a copy of the exact same part from the old assembly.
Thank you for getting back to me.
And thank you for your help! - it works :-)
What I don't get then, is why I could copy 'Bukkematrice' from the old assembly without getting this problem. I did so before I ran into problems with 'Lineal'.

Maybe 'Bukkematrice' did not have any references or was not derived in anyway from the first assembly? Whereas 'lineal' was.
