Bought a new PC and all of my solidworks files are on Drive C. On my old PC they were drive F. Is there anyway to globally change this? I went thru options and added most of the new locations, but it will still not find them.
Same version of SW?
Copy your old files to new location in C.
Change file locations in system option from f: to c:.
Yes, 2018. I added a lot of locations in file location options in SW. Did not work, unless I have to drill all the way into specific folders.
I don't think you should add location.
You change F: to C:.
You files are all on C: now?
Yes all on C:. I don't think I understand what you mean by changing letter F to C. Are you talking about renaming the drive in windows disk management? That could wreck things.
No. In System Option -> File Locations.
I already did that, still will not find all files.
Your assembly can't find files?
No, I have to manually point SW to the directory paths.
Which files SW cannot find?
