Are you installing new release for this year (2018/2019) or are you installing old release (that is close to expiration)?
Is this the same computer as used last year? (That is, you have never installed on this new computer - but you still have the old computer?)

It sounds to me like the other responders are not familiar with student license.
so have you actually check the other computer with previous installation? or you just asking without even checking?
Did you deactivate the old license? Because this is the problem.
You need to contact your VAR (reseller), but since its the student version, contact your IT-administration on the school.
If you do a quick search on the forums, you will see that you are not the only one with this problem.
Schools have different ways of managing their licenses. My school had the IT administrator deal with problems like this and if he couldnt, he would contact the reseller (VAR).
Maybe its different in america. I obviously dont know. But this was just a tip.....
