just make a copy of the file locally and then do the flow sim in there. I do not know of any option to force the files to not go to the data management system but I am not the all that familiar with PDM systems.
not that I am aware of. If you just want to keep the sim set up file you can just check the thing in over top of the previous one - can't that be done?
I'm not terribly familiar with flow simulation itself, however if it uses the Simulation add-in that comes with SolidWorks then the following should apply.
Select the following in the toolbar.
Simulation -> Options
Select the Default Options Tab. Highlight Results and then change the Results Folder option to something outside your file management system.
