I have been using and loving the new (for 08) Configure
Feature/Dimension etc functionality since SW2008 came out.
But I've been a bit frustrated if I wanted to change something across multiple configurations at once. For instance, If I wanted to change a dim or suppress something in multiple configs. Before, I thought you had to do it one at a time.
Today I accidentally discovered that these tables have Excel-like functionality!!
I had a dim that I needed to change from 29mm to 32mm. I clicked in the cell and saw the little black "plus" pop up. Hmmm..
I dragged it like I would in Excel (just to see what would happen) and much to my surprise it worked EXACTLY like Excel. I was able to easily drag the dim down and change my dim across 10 configs. It also works to trend, say if you want it to increment 1mm at a time up/down.
The same works for suppress/unsuppress. Just drag the plus down to quickly flip on/off the check boxes.
I was happy with this tool before, but this is icing on the cake.
