    APPEARANCE NOTES ON DRAWING

IS THERE A WAY TO GET APPEARANCE LINKED TO EITHER DRAWING TEMPLATE OR BOM.

THE REASON IS THAT WE WANT TO CONTROL OUR PAINTED PARTS THROUGH THIS.

IN THIS WAY WE WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IF A PART OR ASSEMBLIE NEEDS TO BE PAINTED

We have a custom property added to the part or assembly that is filled out. I created a Paint table that is added to drawings that need paint but it could be part of the sheet format and is blank unless there is paint called for in the Custom properties. I then added an equation that, based on the surface area and paint mil thickness calculates the amount of paint required.

This could easily be added with with Property Tab Builder.
