hello, im having a problem with solidworks 2017, my ordinate dimensions wont flip on my sketch and it is bugging me out. can someone pleas help me?
they should be the same side with the direction of original 0 unless you break alignment and manually drag to the other side
Inside a part model sketch SW does this and I've never been able to make look right...
Sorry, I'm no help...
Ordinate dims in sketches have a Break alignment option:
But don't have corresponding command to rejoin the ordinate once broken:
I believe your only option is to delete it and recreate it.
EDIT: To clarify the above sentence, I mean:
1) Delete the dimension with the broken alignment, not the ordinate dim entity.
2) Recreate the deleted dimension by selecting the "Add to ordinate" command.
While you're there. I'll also suggest pulling the circles out of the sketch and added them as another operation so they're more visible and also to use Hole Wizard instead. Plus use a symmetry relation too.
Also change the (200) dim to either driven or remove the reference parentheses.
As is, it's defining the sketch height at 200 therefore it's not a reference dim.
