Does anyone knows if there is a way to delete the diameter symbol??
Try following sequence...
1. Sketch a circle
2. Give it dimension and delete <MOD-DIAM>
3. Save as "NEW" dim. style.
4. Sketch few more circles and assign "NEW" dimn. style......... Buzzingaa!!
Highlight it in the property manager and press the delete key?
yeah, but I want to turn it off, if I put another dimension, It will appear again
Is the a reason why you would not want SolidWorks to dimension a diameter with a diameter symbol?
Edit: If there is a way, I do not know how to do it. Sorry...
In more than 25 yrs of doing this - I don't know why it would make a hill of beans difference - but you could simply dimension to the quadrants (using a construction line or sketch points).
It is because when I use Solidworks Inspection module, it doesn't show the symbol, it shows "DIAM" instead.
I do not use inspection so I do not understand why that makes a difference. Inspection is a different program and I do not know if it follows any drafting standard. Can you post a screen shot?
