is it possible to combine appearances?
Just to clarify what you exactly want to do, do you wish to have just one heading of each type of appearance, is that what you mean?
that's what i mean.
that way i can change the appearances faster.
I just had a quick play around with it and I couldn't find a way. That's not to say that there isn't though!
I thought that you could possibly drag and drop all recurring items into the first instance of that appearance but that doesn't work.
Perhaps someone smarter than I has a work around.............
in the context menu on any appearance you will find "Consolidate Appearance.." wich should do. But i can't get it work… Not in a part, not in an assembly. Even tried SW2019...
So the fastest way to change appearances is to copy-and-paste in the graphics area or via drag-and-drop in the DisplayManager.
Another way could be, to add a new appearance on the assembly level, edit this appearance, and add all other parts to this selection.
I know you can Ctrl select the appearances in the left tree & then re-apply the same material from the appearance tab by double clicking on the required appearance....either the same one or a new one if that's needed.
