When i have a current drawing and i go to edit the format. My drawing is no longer displayed what am i doing wrong?
Is it part of the Sheet Format?
Yes, I had completed the drawing and need to edit the format to mm from in. when i right clicked and went to edit sheet format i could not get my drawing back.
Right-click again, edit sheet. You don't need to edit sheet format to change units.
was changing the units in the dialogue where dimensions are noted. didn't want any confusion. Managed to figure it out.
Thanks for your time.
When you're in "Edit sheet format" mode any drawing views, notes, etc that aren't part of the sheet format will go away, but they'll come back when you exit "Edit sheet format" mode. I assume you have a note there that calls out the units that you need to edit. If yes, and you create drawings with inch and mm, I'd suggest having separate sheet formats saved; one for each. That way if you have multiple sheets the note won't need to be changed for each sheet as long as you use the same sheet format. I'd even take it a step further and have separate drawing templates, with the appropriate sheet format in each. That way you won't need to change the Units at Tools > Options > Document Properties > Units every time. See What's the difference between a sheet format and drawing template? and Why aren't the changes I made at Tools > Options > Document Properties saved when I start a new Part? if you don't understand some or all of this.
