Hello all,

I'm trying to use the design concept of a purse hook for a design to hold objects, like a smartphone, on the edge of a table. Here's how a purse hook looks like and works for those that don't know: File:Handtaschenhalter.jpg - Wikipedia

There's little to no article about purse hook design on the web but just from looking at it, I'm guessing the purse's weight doesn't flip the hook over the edge because of a restoring torque but I'm not sure where this will occur.

What do you all think?.. Edit: I attached a picture of it.
