I'm using primitives to apply decals to my model (some of the shapes are rotated at weird angle, or the decal doesn't encompass the entire surface). However, I can't seem to find a way to hide the primitive outlines. Any advice on hiding those, or a better way to apply decals?

To modify the decals, you have the possibiliity to use the Workshop Textures.
There you find 4 functions to
- move
- rotate
- set projection axis
- set projection camera (left)
"Set projection camera" in many cases helps to get the best result
